Who is
Phatpro?
Mahlatse "DJ Phatpro" Kekana
is a man with all-round creativity and a good ear for music. The Limpopo born
music creation enthusiast continues to set popular tastes while adventurously
expanding his musical palette with various artists. As a Recording Artist/Record Producer/Mixing
Engineer, Phatpro has stamped his indelible imprint on the music
scene since working closely with the likes of Flabba (Skwatta Kamp), DJ Sabby
(YFM), Habida (Kenya), Aaron Bastinelli(USA), Robin Kohl and the list goes on.
Often producers/Artists fall into two categories - Those that seek the
limelight, only to fade out with musical trends, but DJ Phatpro falls with
those that have true talent that can stand the test of time.
Phatpro has also grown into the
business side of the music and started Thumaka Music. Most notable studio
projects include working with prominent names like DJ Sbu, Zahara, Simphiwe
Dana, Rabs Vhafuwi, LayLizzy(Mozambique), Portia Monique(USA), the late HHP
& Pro
